Investing means responsibility
 

Responsible investment has traditionally not been a major issue in the investment services industry. Our products are primarily abstract: bytes in digital space or the expert and advisory services of an information worker. Nevertheless, we believe that investing can assume a significantly larger role in terms of bearing social responsibility: the more investors know about the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) effects of an investment, the better they can take these factors into consideration when choosing what to invest in.

Responsible business operations through self-regulation
 

We believe that a responsible business carefully considers not only financial aspects, but also its stakeholders such as customers, employees, partners, investors and owners as well as society at large. Responsible businesses also strive to report on their operations in a transparent and comprehensive manner.

A basic characteristic of a responsible business is the willingness to self-regulate. Even where legislation might allow for “irresponsibility”, a responsible business does not cause damage or suffering through its operations, but instead bears its responsibility for the potential negative effects of its products, services and production processes and voluntarily strives to reduce them. Sometimes it can be difficult to make a business operation absolutely free of all negative consequences to people, society or the environment. A responsible business, however, will strive to limit these negative consequences of its operation.

We want to give our clients the opportunity to invest responsibly (in terms of environmental, social and corporate governance factors) either for their entire investment portfolio or a part of it. We further aim to promote the dissemination of information and reporting on the environmental and social impacts of our investments and, through our own operations related to funds, for instance, encourage our partners to take social responsibility into consideration.
